Third Photo Assignment, My Third Rule

My Third Rule: Rule of Thirds

The rule of thirds is a basic principle in photography to break the photo down into thirds both horizontally and vertically, separating the photo into 9 different squares, and then taking the photo by placing the main object on one (or multiple) of the 4 corners where the 9 squares meet instead of in the center of the photograph.

In summary, my three rules are:
1. Balance
2. Background
3. Rule of Thirds

Second Photo Assignment, My Second Rule

My Second Rule: Background

The rule of background is to isolate the main object of the image (in this case the flower) by blurring the background of the image using a smaller f-stop.

First Photo Assignment, My First Rule

My First Rule: Balance

The rule of balance is to equalize the photo so that both ends of the photo are placed in similar spots, that way the photo does not seem lop-sided.
